Everyone loves a smokey eye! Especially me!
This is the look I created with the Organic cosmetics by Nvey ECO.
The duo smokey eye eyeshadow by Nvey has a matte finish so your smokey eye will not be over the top and this look is great for a night out. This one I wore to the Opera but could have been worn to a dinner or an event. Probably needs more sparkles for a night out dancing
I do a subtle smokey eye for everyday and a bit heavier for night time usually.
Here I am creating a night look so it might not suit everyone but it’s always sultry and flattering for a good night out. This is the makeup used for the look:
Firstly some info on Nvey makeup and skincare. It is an organic beauty brand and here is their philosophy:
To introduce the world to a true certified organic makeup brand that could bring to life the artistry values and styles that I had longed for during my decades in the beauty industry, combined with organic formulas that would nurture and care for my client’s skin.
They were even the first to coin the phrase “Green is the New Black,” when launched in 2005, signalling the simple and focused message of being a brand with an understanding of fashion, artistry and nature.
So here is the look step by step:
Make sure your face is cleansed and moisturised before any makeup application.
I used the Nvey Eco skincare products here:
Start with a good base of concealer around the eyes. I used the Napoleon Perdis Set concealer pictured below.
Now to the eyes:
Cover the eye lids with a neutral shade and I use something with a bit of sparkle on the brow bone.
Next, use the lighter shade of grey from the Nvey eco pallette to create a line of colour from the outer of your eye.
Use the same technique but stop in the middle of the eye with the darker shade (black)
Blend until you’re happy with the shade.
Finish off with eyeliner. The one I am using is also Nvey liner.
It’s particularly well suited for lining the bottom of the eye as its powder consistency so you don’t have to worry about the liner running or smudging.
The last step are the falsies.
I usually curl my lashes, apply the fakies then curl them again to blend the two lashes (mine and not mine) to create a more natural look.
You can choose to apply mascara over the top of your false lashes for a more dramatic look. In this instance I chose not to do that because the lashes were already thick.
