July Favourites

Here are the July favourites for me.

It’s nearly the end of July – how fast the time has gone by! This month in particular was quite a busy one, thus you may have noticed a lowered frequency in posts (guilty!) I’ll do my best to update you on more cool things once I have more free time (no ETA on that one yet!)

1. Over the shoulder satchel bag – gives you 2 free arms to do what you like. I’ve been wearing mine quite a bit lately – a change from habit of big bags. Every time I walk out the door, I feel so light (hehe)

2. Shiny belts – are cool! If you can get one, it will dazzle up any outfit!

3. Bright pink lip tints – can’t live without mine. Brightens up smiles and receives a lot of compliments!

4. Peplum tops – love love love! Accentuates your waist and gives a feminine look to any body shape. (Tip: Pair with the shiny belt!)

5. Print tights. I would love to try and wear funky prints one day, but so far I have only been brave enough to pull off the white print pattern on black look. Still, a great accessory to have.

6. Beige pumps (match with black top, shiny belt, black tights and the shoulder bag )

I got similar looking ones (exposes secret) at Kmart for (shhh) $15! The Broadway shopping centre branch is open till 1 am so its very handy to browse through in peace when its not as busy and find bargains!

7. Something I now can’t live without the RICH anti ageing treatment I use very night before bed. This product has made my skin unbelievably smooth, blemish free and full of new energy (especially during this busy time period). I love it!

8. Leather skirt – I wear mine in all seasons. In summer with pumps, in winter with tights and boots. I even wore it once to a rock star themed party and more recently to a 21st

June Favourites

1. Oversized roll neck chunky jumpers. I recently bought a black one from ASOS here RRP$76.52. There is a sale on it at the moment and I snatched mine for $25.51

2. Print leggins. My ones are a tooth pattern and I absolutely love them because you can’t beat black and white in terms of practicality and style. This is where you can get some – ASOS Petite range RRP$29.83

3. Print necklaces are great with simple black and go well with jumpers and skivvies. Love this design in particular. Get it here (Diana Warner) RRP$98

4. Burberry Brut perfume. If you’re travelling get it duty free. You can also get it on Strawberry.net RRP$76.50 This perfume has a light, fruity and fresh scent but is also quite sophisticated.

5. Antipodes day cream with vanilla bean and the most natural organic ingredients you can find. Its from NZ RRP$52 You can order online here. Beautiful!

6. Soft fabric boots. Very comfortable and suit all outfits. Most importantly they keep you warm. Pick these babies up at…Kmart! And guess how much they cost $15!!! You can’t go past that!

Let’s get Purple People!

Previosly I blogged about my fashion inspiration from pears (the fruit!), today I’ve discovered the amazing, colourful, brilliantly unique and maybe a little bit SCI FI, Purple Cauliflower. Did you know this spacey vegetable existed?

Below are photos of a beautiful soup which you can make out of this fantastic goodnessy (is that even a word?) veggie! Here is the recipe

Just look at that colour!

Doesn’t make me automatically want to say YUM, but a WHAT and a HUH? and WOW!!!!

The point is, even if you dont feel like eating this magnificent soup which may or may not give you supernatural powers, you can still awe at the beautiful colour. Not to be confused with Bridgette Jones’ blue soup. That one was an accident! Although you can find many recreated blue soup recipes here
